Disruption of tissue homeostasis causes various diseases, such as cancer, infectious disease and immune disorder. Given the complexity of multicellular organisms, it still remains unclear how gene function at the cellular level affects the organismal homeostasis. Center for Experimental Medicine and Systems Biology (CEMSB) analyzes the gene function at the organismal level by generating genetically modified rodents, which provide an integrative experimental model for studying various biological aspects. Our effort should uncover the underlying pathogenesis for diseases and eventually provide novel strategies to cure such diseases. The CEMSB also offers support services to generate genetically modified rodents, including conditional knockout/knock-in mice and rats. For more information, please visit our website.
