Activities
Our division focuses on Toll-like receptors (TLRs), which sense pathogen components and activate defense responses. TLRs also respond to self-derived products and play pathogenic roles in autoimmune diseases. Our division is studying molecular mechanisms behind pathogen recognition by TLRs and pathogenic roles of TLRs in autoimmune diseases. We also try to develop a therapeutic targeting TLRs for the control of autoimmune diseases.
