Laboratory Animal Research Center

The Laboratory Animal Research Center consists of the Division of Animal Genetics, which conducts research and development on cutting-edge genome editing technology, genetically modified mice and rats, and humanized animals, and the Animal Center, a laboratory animal facility used by many researchers as a Joint Usage/Research Center.
If you are interested in research on 1) genome-editing CRISPR-Cas system, 2) generation of model animals using genome-editing, 3) development of gene therapy and diagnostics using CRISPR-Cas system, 4) humanized animals, 5) rat resources including severe immunodeficiency SCID rats, etc., please visit the " Division of Animal Genetics".
If you are a researcher at the IMSUT or a researcher at the International Joint Usage/Research Center, who is interested in 1) breeding and management of SPF mice and rats, 2) cryopreservation in embryos and sperm, and 3) use of advanced equipment such as X-ray irradiation, IVIS, MRI, and CT, please see the "Animal Center".
