Malgorzata Borowiak graduated in Biotechnology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland and at the moment is a third year PhD student at ENS Lyon. She is currently involved in the studies on the telomere biology upon Human T-cell Leukemia Virus infection. She is particularly interested in the mechanism of telomerase reactivation by viral HBZ protein and its interplay with tumor suppressors keeping the telomerase expression silent in non-cancerous cells.
