Helena Soares is currently a CNRS research associate in the Lab of Andrés Alcover at Pasteur Institute. Her area of interest is HIV-T cell cross-talk, and in particular the identification of evolved HIV-1 mechanisms to antagonize immunity as an approach to gain insight into the CD4 T cell physiology. From 2002 to 2007 she was a PhD student and a postdoctoral associate in the Lab of Ralph Steinman, at the Rockefeller University, in New York. She concluded her Degree in BPharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculdade de Farmacia da Universidade de Coimbra, in 2001 and a "Masters" from the Gulbenkian PhD Program in Biomedicine, in 2002. |
