Division of Systems Virology aims to address the following issues through multiple scientific approaches:
1. investigation of virological characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 variants
2. mechanisms of cross-species viral transmission
3. bioinformatics on the host responses against virus infections
4. roles of endogenous viruses on gene expression networks and host evolution
5. roles of cellular and viral proteins on virus infection and replication
