Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University of Bergen (Norway) and his delegation visited IMSUT



On January 29, 2018, Prof. Per Bakke, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bergen, Dr. Hiroshi Matsumoto, Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo / Representative of University of Bergen and NTNU in Japan and Mr. Bjørn Einar Aas, Senior Advisor, Division of Research Management, University of Bergen visited IMSUT.

Bergen is the second largest city in Norway. The University of Bergen has 19,000 students and was founded in 1946. The delegation visited IMSUT to discuss research collaboration between the two institutes.

They were welcomed by Prof. Yoshinori Murakami, the Dean of IMSUT, Prof. Mutsuhiro Takekawa, the Vice Dean and Dr. Beate Heissig of the Center for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. Prof. Murakami introduced the activity of IMSUT. Prof. Bakke expressed his appreciation for the ongoing collaboration through Dr. Heissig and showed his sincere interest in developing a research collaboration with IMSUT, and furthermore for the exchange of researchers.
This visit will accelerate the cooperation between IMSUT and the University of Bergen.
