It concluded an international academic exchange agreement with UTokyo in 2015. The delegation visited IMSUT to attend the signing ceremony for memorandum on international alliance research internship program (IARI program) between the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the Institute of Molecular Bioscience and the Institute of Medical Science of UTokyo, and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Institut Des Sciences Appliquees De Lyon which are  three members of the University of Lyon.

Before the ceremony, they made a short tour of IMSUT's labs and facilities.
