On May 16, 2018, IMSUT welcomed Director-General Ruiming Xu and Dr. Hang Xu from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBPCAS).
They first visited the Medical Science Museum, and then visited the tissue storage facility of Biobank Japan and learned about this facility and its operation from Project Prof. Takayuki Morisaki. Next they were ushered into the meeting room where they received a warm welcome from the IMSUT Dean, Prof. Yoshinori Murakami, Vice-Dean Prof. Yasushi Kawaguchi, Prof. Jun-ichiro Inoue (Chief of China-Japan Joint Laboratories in Beijing) and Project Prof. Zene Matsuda and Project Prof. Mitsue Hayashi. After these discussions, they visited the Human Genome Center and received an introduction of the supercomputer system and related projects from Associate Prof. Rui Yamaguchi.
