On June 6, 2018, Prof. Kwabena Mante Bosompem, Director of the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, University of Ghana and Dr. Koichi Ishikawa from the AIDS Research Center, National Institute of Infectious Diseases visited IMSUT and discussed future prospects for collaborative research with IMSUT Dean, Prof. Yoshinori Murakami, Project Prof. Hiroshi Kiyono and Invited Prof. Tetsuro Matano. Afterwards they visited the Human Genome Center and received an introduction to the supercomputer system and related projects from Associate Prof. Rui Yamaguchi. Next they visited the MucoRice cultivation room and learned the projects underway there from Visiting Researcher Koji Kashima. Although it was a very short visit this time, Dr. Bosompem seemed to be very interested in the supercomputer and eagerly asked questions about it..
