On November 30, 2017, the International Symposium celebrating the 125th Founding Anniversary and 50th Reorganization Anniversary –Driving Next-Generaion Medicine: the Spirit of Pioneering Discovery in Medical Science- was held in the Auditorium of IMSUT. Invited speakers, Prof. Michel Sadelain of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from New York and Prof. Shigekazu Nagata of Osaka University gave excellent lectures. From IMSUT’s side, Prof. Yoshihiro Kawaoka, Prof. Satoru Miyano and Prof. Makoto Nakanishi talked about the most advanced research results in their respective fields of infectious diseases, genome science and cancer. There were lots of questions from the audience and active discussion with the lecturers.
