Three-dimensional structure of human FKBP52: Implications for the assembly of the glucocorticoid receptor/Hsp90/Immunophilin heterocomplex

Rao博士は中国科学院における蛋白質構造解析の中心的研究者であり、SARSウイルスのプロテアーゼや spermatid特異蛋白質RSB66をはじめ様々な蛋白質の構造解析を精力的に行っている。 FKBP52 はFKBP (FK506-binding protein) familyに属する、high-molecular-weight immunophilinであり、ステロイ受容体-HSP90に会合するシャペロン蛋白質のひとつである。今回は、Ｘ線結晶構造解析によるFKBP52の構造解析結果に基づいて、グルココルチコイド受容体複合体形成の仕組みについて紹介していただく。
