Killer T Cells and Virus Killers

Abstract: The presentation will discuss the nature of the virus immune CD8+, or "killer" T cell response. After discussing general concepts of viral immunity, the focus will be on the specificity and efficacy of T cell mediated immunity. Experimental studies of influenza A virus infections in mice will be used to illustrate the presentation.
